Liberty Printers

Liberty Printers has been around for a long time, and the shop always smells like a mix of fresh paper and heavy ink. It’s the kind of smell that stays on your clothes even after you go home. We have a few different machines running, and when they are all going at once, you have to raise your voice just to be heard across the room. The floor is usually covered in paper scraps and old test prints that didn’t quite make the cut. We spend our days loading paper, checking ink levels, and making sure the alignment is straight on whatever is going through the press. Sometimes it's business cards, and other times it's much larger stacks of flyers or forms. We don't have any fancy reception area or a coffee machine for guests. There are just some sturdy tables where we stack the finished work and a small desk where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s a bit of a cramped space because the machines take up so much room, but we manage just fine. We have a routine of cleaning the rollers every evening so they are ready for the next morning. It is honest work that keeps us busy from the moment we open the shutters until we lock up at night. There isn't much more to it than that, just keeping the machines running.
