Pathak Papers

Our shop is right on Chitta Mandir Road. Pathak Papers has been sitting here for quite some time, surrounded by the usual noise of the street. It’s mostly stacks of paper and cardboard everywhere you look. We spend most of our time cutting things to size or loading up small bundles for people who stop by. The air usually smells a bit like dusty paper and ink, which I guess we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We aren't a big corporation or anything like that. It’s just a handful of us making sure the orders are right and the inventory isn't getting too low. Some days the road outside is so crowded it’s hard to move, but we manage. People come in looking for specific types of paper, and we try to find what they need in the stacks. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit, or the old desk creaks, but it’s home to us. We don’t have a big fancy lobby. You just walk in, tell us what you’re looking for, and we see if we have it in the back. Working with paper is simple enough, though it can be heavy work when the big rolls arrive. We just keep our heads down and stay busy. If you’re ever walking down Chitta Mandir Road, you’ll see our sign. It’s a plain place, but it works for us and the folks we help out around here. We like the simple pace of it.
