Mahalaxmi Ice Cream

You can find Mahalaxmi Ice Cream over on Jagadhari Road, right in the Hsidc Industrial Estate area. We are very close to the State Bank of India, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us for the first time. Being in an industrial zone means we deal with a lot of workers who are either going to their shift or coming back home tired. It gets very hot around here with all the factories nearby, so a lot of people come in just to stand near the coolers for a second. The shop is mostly just a place to get something cold and move on. We have a lot of different flavors tucked away in the cabinets, and we try to keep them all labeled so we don't get confused when things get busy. The road outside is usually full of big trucks, so there is always a bit of a rumble in the ground. We have a couple of small chairs, but most people just stand around and talk for a bit before heading back to work. It is a practical kind of business, not really a place for lounging around all day. We spend the mornings checking our stock and the evenings cleaning up the sticky messes that kids sometimes leave behind. It is hard work keeping everything frozen when the sun is beating down on the roof, but we have been doing it long enough to know the tricks.
