If you know Sadar Bazaar, you know how hectic it can get. We are located right at Street Chokidar, near the Khane Wali Masjid. It’s an old part of the city and the roads are quite narrow. We’ve been operating out of No-5085 for a long time. Our days start pretty early because the trucks for Sadar Nala Road have to get in and out before the real crowds show up. We do spices, mostly bulk stuff but we take care of smaller requests too. It’s noisy outside most of the time with all the rickshaws and people shouting, but inside we just focus on the work. The building itself is old. It has that specific smell of dried chilies and turmeric that never really leaves. Sometimes the electricity acts up, or the rain makes the street a mess, but we stay open. We aren't trying to be some big brand. We just provide spices to the shops and people who come through this part of Delhi. Most of the guys working here have been with us for years. We eat lunch together in the back office when there's a quiet moment. It’s a simple life. We pack the bags, weigh them on the old scales, and get them moved out. There isn't much room for sitting around. You have to keep moving in Sadar Bazaar or you get left behind. We just want to keep the shop running like it always has. It's nothing fancy, just hard work.
