Gurukul Higher Primary School

We are located on Afzalpur Road in the Basaveshwar Nagar area of Gulbarga. It’s a higher primary school, so we have kids who are a bit older, though still quite young. Gulbarga is known for being one of the hotter places around, and we definitely feel that heat in the afternoons here. The school isn't anything fancy, just a solid building where the work gets done. We have kids coming from all over this part of Afzalpur and the nearby colonies. The classrooms are basic and we don't have a lot of extra bells and whistles. We spend our time on the actual teaching and managing the day-to-day stuff like registers and exams. The road outside can be quite busy with trucks and buses going toward Afzalpur, but we have a gate to keep the noise out as much as possible. Most of the people working here have been around for years. We know the parents and we see them at the market or around town. It’s not a place for big corporate talk. We just show up, open the rooms, and get the children through their lessons. Sometimes we run out of chalk or have to fix a fan, but we make do. It’s a local school for local people, and that is about all there is to say about us. We keep the gates open and the lights on every morning.
