Shayam Sundar Tea House

Right in the middle of Maharaj Ganj Bazar in West Tripura is where we keep Shayam Sundar Tea House. It’s a busy spot where people are always moving around, buying and selling stuff. We’ve been here for quite some time, and the tea house has become a bit of a local fixture for the shoppers. It’s not a fancy cafe with modern decor or soft lighting. We have simple benches and tables where people can sit and rest for a while. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but nobody seems to mind that. We focus on serving tea the way people like it here—strong, hot, and sweet. We also sell some loose tea for people to take home to their families. The kitchen is always steaming, and there’s usually a bit of a clatter from the cups being washed in the back. It’s a real community place. We hear all the local news and gossip before anyone else does. We don’t have a website or any promotional flyers. People just know we are here and they come in. The heat in Tripura can be tough, but the tea somehow makes it better. Our staff is just a few local guys who know how to keep the orders moving when the market gets really crowded. It’s a humble place, and we’re happy to keep it that way. No frills, just good tea and a seat.
