Manasa Fashions

We are based out of Amtali in Agartala. If you know the area, you know it's a bit away from the main city center but still gets plenty of visitors. We started Manasa Fashions because there weren't many places nearby to get good clothes without traveling too far. The shop is simple. We have a few racks and some glass cases for the smaller items. We spend a lot of time talking to the suppliers to see what new patterns are coming in. It’s a quiet life here mostly. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down. Most of our customers are our neighbors or people passing through on their way home. We don’t do much marketing. Usually, someone tells a friend about a saree they bought here and that’s how we get new business. The shop floor is tiled and we try to keep it clean, but with the rain in Agartala, it’s a bit of a struggle. We have some chairs for people to sit on while they look at different fabrics. We aren't trying to be a big mall. We just want to provide what the people here in the 799130 area need. Sometimes we run out of stock faster than we expect, which is frustrating, but we do our best. It’s just us here, working every day to keep the business going for our families and ourselves.
