Hillstart India Foundation

We are out in West Laxmi Bill, which is part of the Bishalgarh area. Our plot is number 3942. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main city, but it’s a quiet place to work. The Hillstart India Foundation is set up in a way that feels very connected to the land here. We don’t have a big glass building. It’s more of a local structure that fits in with the surroundings in Tripura. We spend a lot of our time outdoors or in the main room of our building. It’s a simple setup. We don’t have a lot of fancy technology, just the basics to keep things running. The pace of life here in Bishalgarh is a bit slower than in Agartala, and we like that. It gives us time to focus on what’s right in front of us. We see a lot of the same faces every day. People around here know where we are if they need to find us. We don’t do much advertising or anything like that. We just exist as part of the community. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when it rains heavily and the roads get muddy, but we just manage. It’s a practical way of living and working. We’re just regular people trying to keep the foundation moving forward. It’s not always easy, but it’s our daily life here in West Laxmi Bill. We like the quiet and the space.
