We are located right in the thick of the industrial action over in Adityapur-2. If you know Road No.-16, you probably know it gets pretty dusty with all the heavy trucks moving around throughout the day. Our specific spot is Block No.-70/1/7. It is a standard industrial area vibe here in the Saraikela-Kharsawan district of Jamshedpur. We have been part of the Usha Martin setup for a long time. Working in Jamshedpur means you are always surrounded by steel and heavy machinery, and our office is no different. It isn’t a glamorous place. The office is strictly functional, filled with old metal desks and a lot of thick logbooks. We spend most of our time keeping track of production numbers and shipping logistics. The constant noise from the nearby manufacturing units is just like background music to us now. We have a small crew of dedicated people. We show up, have our morning tea, and get straight to it. There isn’t any corporate talk here; we just discuss what needs to get finished by the end of the shift. Sometimes the power cuts are really annoying, but we have our backups to keep the lights on. It is an honest day's work for everyone. We don't spend any money on fancy decorations or art. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but they hold up the roof just fine. People around here just know us as the local branch. We’ve seen this neighborhood change over the years. It is home for us.
