Lutunia is a quiet place compared to the big cities. We are set up here in the Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal. Getting to the office involves traveling through some rural stretches, which is a nice change from the highway. Our address is right in the P.O. Lutunia area. It’s a basic setup because we focus on the work rather than having a big corporate building. Most of the people working here are locals or have been staying nearby for the duration of the project. We use the local post office for all our mail. The pace of life in this part of Bengal is different. Things take time, and we’ve learned to be patient with the logistics. We have our files and our computers, and that’s about it. M/S Simplex Infrastructure Ltd has been operating from this Lutunia site to stay close to the actual construction work. It’s more practical that way. During the monsoon, the roads around here get quite muddy, so we all wear sturdy boots. We don't have a cafeteria, so we usually bring lunch from home or get something from the small village shops. It’s a straightforward environment. We just want to get through the daily checklist and make sure the site has what it needs. It's a humble office, but it serves the purpose for everyone involved in the project. We've been here for a while and the routine is set.
