We are based out in Madhakhali, which is part of the Bhupotinagar area. It’s a bit of a drive to get here in Purba Medipore. M.N.Consultants Pvt Ltd isn't some big city firm with glass walls and expensive furniture. We have a small office here and it's mostly quiet, except for the birds and the occasional tractor going by. The pin code is 721425 for those trying to mail us anything. We spend a lot of time looking at papers and talking on the phone. It’s mostly just us trying to stay on top of the regulations and the paperwork that comes with this kind of work. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we have to wait a bit to send out emails. We take our breaks outside when the weather is nice. The office is just a couple of rooms with some old wooden desks and filing cabinets that have seen better days. It’s a long way from the big offices in Kolkata, but we like it here. People around the village know who we are. We don't really do any big meetings; it's mostly just sitting down and getting the numbers right. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a deadline, but usually, we head home before it gets too dark. It’s a straightforward life working in the countryside. We’ve been here for years and the pace of life suits us just fine. We just keep our heads down and do our jobs.
