Larsen & Toubro-Ecc Division

Our branch is situated at 51 Bidhannagar in Midnapore. It’s a basic office setup where we manage the ECC division’s tasks for this part of West Bengal. The building is easy to find, and we’ve been here for a good number of years. It’s a very straightforward workspace. We don’t have any slick decorations or modern art on the walls. Instead, you’ll find maps of the local area and charts showing the progress of various construction projects. It’s a busy spot, with vendors and contractors coming in and out throughout the day to talk about their work. The staff here is mostly from the local district, so there’s a lot of Bengali spoken in the office. It gets quite hot in this part of the country, and our air conditioning works overtime to keep us comfortable while we go through our files. We handle a lot of the paperwork that keeps the sites running. It’s not always the most exciting work, but it’s necessary. We have a small area where we keep our bags and eat our lunch. Most of the time, we are just focused on the list of things that need to be done before the day ends. We don't really have a formal way of doing things. If a problem comes up at a site, we just huddle together and figure it out. It’s an honest way to earn a living, and we just keep at it day after day.
