Down here in Midnapore, things move at a slightly different speed compared to the bigger cities. Our address is in the 721232 area of West Bengal. It’s a bit of a drive to get here, but it’s where we handle our part of the Jindal Stainless operations. The air is a bit clearer than Kolkata, though the humidity is still there. We spend our days looking over orders and making sure the steel gets where it needs to go. The staff here is mostly local folks who have grown up in this part of the state. We don't have a big fancy sign or a glass building. It’s a practical workspace built for getting things done. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or use the generator. Everyone knows everyone else's business around here, which is just how small-town life goes. We mostly deal with the logistics and the storage side of things. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a brochure. There are stacks of files and the occasional stray dog wandering near the gate. We keep the kettle going for visitors, though we don't get many people just dropping by without a reason. It’s a steady job in a quiet corner of West Bengal, and we’re quite used to the routine of it all now. It keeps us busy and the days go by pretty fast.
