Ipca

Working out of a railway quarter is a bit different than a standard office block. We are at S/Ii/42 in Unit-4 of the New Development area in Kharagpur. It’s got that old railway town feel to it. You can hear the trains sometimes, which becomes background noise after a while. Ipca is based right here. It’s not a large space, but it’s enough for us. The walls are thick, and the ceilings are high, like those older constructions. We spend most of our time here just handling the day's tasks. There’s a small porch out front where some of us take breaks. Kharagpur is a place where everyone knows someone who works for the railway, so being in the quarters feels very local. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. It’s just a few of us. We keep our files in old metal cabinets and use desks that have seen better days. It’s functional. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor. The post office is nearby, which is handy for us when we need to send things out. Life moves at its own pace here. Some days it’s slow, and we chat more than we work. Other days, we are scrambling to get things finished before the day ends. It’s just how it goes in a place like this. We’ve grown accustomed to the rhythm of the neighborhood.
