Over here in Midnapur, we are located at Asoke Nagar on Station Road. It’s right in the West Bengal area, specifically Midnapur(W)-721101. Being near the station means there's always people moving around and plenty of noise from the trains. H & R Johnson India Ltd, Mumbai, is the name on our papers, but we are a local branch through and through. The office is a simple place where we manage the local distribution. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. It’s just a group of us working out of a basic room near the tracks. We deal with a lot of local shops and builders who need supplies. The humidity in West Bengal can be a bit much, especially in the rainy season, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. We don't use any fancy business talk or have big meetings about 'vision.' Mostly, we talk about what's in stock and when the next truck is arriving. It’s the kind of place where you can just walk in and talk to us. We’ve been here long enough that the regulars know our names. It’s a busy, dusty, and honest way to make a living. We just focus on getting the tiles out to the people who need them in this part of the state.
