This branch of the company is located out in Mandaria, near Keshpur in Paschim Medinipore. It is a very different vibe from the big city offices in Kolkata. Out here, the air is a bit clearer but the work is just as heavy. We are tucked away in a village area, which means things move a little slower until you get to the actual work site. We handle a lot of the local infrastructure needs, mostly focusing on the metalwork and the bridge components that the region requires. The office is pretty basic, just a place for us to keep the records and meet up before we head out to the fields or the construction spots. Most of the people working here are locals from West Bengal who know the land well. We don't have any big speeches or corporate goals posted on the walls. We just know that we have a job to do and we go out and do it. Sometimes the roads are a bit rough, especially during the monsoon season when everything turns to mud, but we manage to get the trucks through somehow. We are just regular people who know how to work with steel and concrete. It is not always easy, but there is a sense of pride when you see a roof finished or a bridge section finally in place. We just take it one day at a time here and try to stay on schedule despite the challenges.
