Afcons Infrastructure Ltd

Our office is in Kharagpur, over in South Inda. We’re located at Suroma Kuthir, which is C/O Mr. K.N. Chatterjee. It’s a quiet enough spot in the Midnapore district, pin 721301. Kharagpur is a town that knows about engineering and railways, so we fit right in with our infrastructure work. The building is a regular house, not some glass tower. We’ve got desks squeezed into the rooms and plenty of coffee and tea going. The backyard has some of our smaller equipment sometimes, but most of the big stuff is out at the construction sites. We spend our mornings going over the plans and our afternoons out in the field. The weather here can be damp, and the mosquitoes are a bit of a nuisance in the evenings. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just build things like bridges and roads. It’s a lot of manual work and coordination. The staff here is a mix of locals and folks who've traveled from far away for the job. We know the neighbors, and they know us as the Afcons people. It’s a simple life. We work hard, we deal with the problems as they come up, and we try to stay on schedule despite the heavy rains. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do best. We keep the paperwork to a minimum and focus on the steel and concrete.
