This place is actually part of our home setup at Plot 109, Door 235 in Kharagpur. Being in the Midnapore district, things move a bit slower here than in the big cities, and we like it that way. My father, T.A. Rao, lived here too, so the neighbors know the family well. I’ve been handling the books and helping out with accounting tasks for a long time now. People in the area know they can find me here when they need some help with their records. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls. It’s just a room with a sturdy desk, a computer, and a lot of filing cabinets. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise, but you get used to it after a while. Most of the work involves checking figures and making sure the entries are right. I spend a lot of time looking at paper ledgers and then typing things up. It’s important work for the local businesses around here who don't want to deal with the headache of numbers. People stop by at different times, sometimes even late if they’ve just closed their shops. We don't follow a strict corporate schedule. If the light is on and I’m at the desk, I’m usually working. It’s about being there for the people in this part of Kharagpur. We just get the job done.
