Anthony L Miangiong

My name is Anthony L Miangiong and I'm based out of the Village & Post Office in Rangblang. It’s located in Tehsil Nongstoin, not too far from Mawthabah. This is where I live and where I do my work every day. It’s a quiet part of the country, away from all the noise and chaos of the big towns. I've been here most of my life and I wouldn't really want to be anywhere else. Running things from Rangblang means you have to be practical and patient. Resources aren't always right around the corner, so you learn to make do with what you have on hand. People in the village know me well and they know exactly where I stay. I don't have a big office building or a team of secretaries to handle things. It’s just me and the occasional help from friends when things get a bit too busy. The post office is right nearby, which is very handy for getting things sent out or receiving mail from people. Living near Mawthabah means seeing a lot of green hills and dealing with the winding roads. It’s beautiful but it can be a bit isolated when the weather is bad. I just try to do right by the people who need my help. It’s not about getting rich or having a big name in the world. It’s about being a part of the community and doing something useful for others in Rangblang. It is what it is.
