Our store, Sri Kanka Durga Cotton And General Stores, sits right on the Main Road in the middle of the Main Bazar. It's a busy spot here in West Godavari. We have been here for a long time, and the building at Dr. No. 3A/3/10 has seen a lot of people come and go. We sell cotton and all sorts of general items that families need. It's often a bit messy inside because we have so much stock arriving every week. We try to keep it organized, but sometimes the boxes just pile up. My family helps out with the customers, especially on market days when it gets really packed. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know our face and where the shop is. The Main Bazar is always full of noise, and we like being in the center of it all. We open early in the morning and don't close until late evening. It's hard work, but it keeps us busy. We don't use any fancy sales tactics. If we have what you need, we sell it to you at a fair price. That’s just how we do things here. The fans hum all day to keep us cool, and we talk to whoever walks through the door. It’s a plain, honest shop. We don’t need much more than that. The dust from the road gets in sometimes, but we just sweep it out.
