Ravi Ice Parlour

We opened up here in Chintalapudi on the Main Road right by the Market Area quite a few years back. It gets really hot in this part of Andhra, so having a place like Ravi Ice Parlour makes sense. We spend most of our mornings just checking the big freezers to make sure they stayed cold through the night. Sometimes the power acts up, and that’s always a worry when you’ve got a lot of stock sitting there. The Market Area is always noisy with people buying vegetables and shouting, and we just sit here in the middle of it all. People come in with their bags full of groceries looking for something cold before they head home. My hands are usually cold from digging through the ice tubs all day. We do not have fancy furniture or anything, just a few spots to sit and a counter that has seen better days. It is mostly just about keeping the machines running and making sure we do not run out of the popular flavors when the school kids walk past. The floor gets a bit messy when it rains outside because people bring in the mud from the road, so we keep a mop handy behind the door. It’s a simple life running a shop like this, but it keeps us busy from morning until we close the shutters at night. We know most of the people who walk by by face.
