Himani Ice Creams

It is cold in here, which is good because Tetali gets pretty warm most of the year. We are located at Sri Vengamamba Frozen Foods on Plot No 3. Being in the Industrial Area near the Y-Junction means there are always big trucks moving around. We spend a lot of time checking the freezers and making sure the temperature stays right where it should. West Godavari District has a lot of places like ours, but we just stay in our own lane. Sometimes the power flickers and everyone runs to check the generators. It is a lot of noise and lifting heavy crates every day. We have got a few guys who have been here since we first opened the doors. We drink coffee from the small stall just down the road. The floor is usually a bit wet from the cleaning we do every few hours. It is not a glamorous job, wearing sweaters even in the middle of summer, but the ice cream needs it. We get the shipments out as fast as the drivers can load them up. The traffic at the Y-Junction can be a real mess around five o'clock. We try to get the last van out before that happens. It is just us doing what we know how to do. No big speeches or anything like that. Just keeping things frozen and moving them along.
