Nokrek Construction Private Limited

We are located at 16 Rengre Gittim Road, right near the community hall in Dakopgre. This is over in Tura, West Garo Hills. It’s a hilly area, which makes construction work a bit of a challenge sometimes. We are Nokrek Construction Private Limited. Living and working in Meghalaya means you have to get used to the rain. It pours here more than most places. We spend a lot of time thinking about drainage and slopes. Our office is a simple spot near the community hall. People in the neighborhood know us. We aren't trying to be some huge company; we just take on projects around the Tura area. Sometimes we have to travel a bit further into the hills for a job. The roads can be tricky. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for a while. We talk about the weather a lot because it dictates when we can actually work. When it’s dry, we’re out there all day. When the monsoon hits, we do more of the planning and maintenance. It’s a quiet life for the most part, away from the big cities. We just focus on building things that stay put. The community hall is a good landmark if you’re looking for our door. We’re usually around unless we’re out at a site. We keep a lot of our spare parts in the shed next door. Tura is a small place, so word gets around when we’re working on something new.
