If you come down to Khasra No 261 in Kirti Nagar, you will find our warehouse right there. It is in the WHS area, which is always dusty because of all the stone cutting and the big trucks moving around constantly. We deal with marble slabs mostly. It is heavy work and our days are usually spent moving pieces around with the crane or showing different blocks to people who drop by the yard. West Delhi is a major hub for this kind of stuff, so there is always noise and people looking for materials for their houses. The office is just a small corner of the shed where we keep the books and take our tea breaks. We don't really do any fancy marketing; most people find us because they are already in the market looking for stone and they see our sign. The marble comes in on big trailers, we sort it by color and size, and then it goes out to various construction sites. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work outside, especially when it rains and the ground gets muddy, but we keep at it. It is a messy business with all the slurry and stone dust, but there is something nice about seeing a good piece of marble ready for a new floor. We just stay focused on the inventory we have and making sure we do not crack anything while loading.
