You’ll find Ujaagar Samaaj Foundation in Uttam Nagar. We are based in Jeevan Park, specifically at Block-E, near E-90 on the first floor. It’s a lively part of West Delhi and there's never a dull moment. We’ve been here for a bit now, just trying to be useful to the community in our own way. The office is small but it serves its purpose. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sitting across from people who need a hand with something. It’s not always easy work. Sometimes we run out of resources and have to figure things out on the fly. But that’s just how it goes when you’re a local foundation. The neighborhood is full of hard-working people, and we want to support that as much as we can. We aren't fancy and we don't use big words to impress people. We just talk like regular people because that’s who we are. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, so be careful. We usually have a lot of papers scattered around because there's always something to do or someone to call. It’s a bit chaotic inside, but we manage to stay on top of things. Uttam Nagar has a lot of energy and we try to match that every day. We don't have a big board of directors or anything like that. It’s just a few of us who decided to stop talking and start doing.
