Our center is over at K-123 in Krishna Park Extension, which is part of the Tilak Nagar area in West Delhi. It is a residential neighborhood mostly, so it feels a bit calmer than the main market areas nearby. The house is easy enough to find if you follow the street numbers. We are right there in the middle of a row of similar-looking buildings. There is a small gate at the front and then you come inside. It isn't a massive corporate office with a glass facade. It's just a regular building that we’ve turned into our workspace. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing cricket out in the lane, so you have to watch where you are walking. Inside, we have set up different rooms for the various things we do. The lighting is okay, but we use some extra lamps on the desks when the sun goes down. It feels more like a home than an office in some ways. We make tea in the little kitchen area about three times a day. The floor has those old-style tiles that stay cool even when it’s hot outside. We have a few cupboards where we keep all our supplies shoved in. It’s not perfectly tidy, but we know where everything is. It is a comfortable place to work without all the pressure of a high-rise building. We just get on with things here without making much of a fuss about it.
