Our place is at A-2/1 in Mayapuri Phase-I. If you know Mayapuri, you know it’s a real industrial hub where people are always moving things around. Textile Concepts International sits right in the middle of all that action. We have rolls of fabric stacked up against the walls, and sometimes it feels like there’s more cloth than floor space. We spend our mornings checking the quality of the weaves and making sure the colors look right under the lights. It’s a bit dusty, as most textile places are, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t really go for anything flashy; the office is just a couple of desks and a lot of samples hanging up on racks. We deal with a lot of different patterns and materials every single day. The phones ring quite a bit with people asking about shipments or new designs. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time navigating the narrow lanes around here, but we manage to get things loaded up. It’s a straightforward operation. We just focus on the fabric and getting it where it needs to go. There’s always a lot of tea drinking while we discuss the next batch of orders. It’s a busy life here in Phase-I, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We keep the scissors sharp and the measuring tapes ready at all times. It's just what we do here.
