Our spot is in Paschim Vihar, specifically at Flat No. 2-Bg-5. It’s a ground floor place which makes it easier for us because we don’t have to deal with elevators that sometimes break down. Paschim Vihar is mostly residential, so it’s a bit quieter than the main markets in West Delhi. We operate Svaad Samudra from here. Since the name has Svaad in it, people often think we are a restaurant, but we actually handle the business side of things. The office itself is essentially a converted flat. It feels a bit like home because, well, it was built as one. We have a small table where we eat lunch together and the kitchen area is mostly used for storing files and making endless rounds of chai. The street outside is lined with trees, which is nice in the summer when it gets really hot. We get a lot of delivery guys coming by asking for directions because the numbering in this block can be a little confusing if you aren't from around here. We usually just step out and point them the right way. It’s a simple setup with a couple of computers and some old chairs. We don’t do any big advertising or have a neon sign. Most people just know us by word of mouth or through our address here. It’s a practical way to run things without all the extra costs of a big corporate office in the center of the city.
