Supreme Fabrics

Our office is on the seventh floor of the Kirti Shikhar Building. It’s a big place in the District Centre of Janakpuri. Most of the day is spent looking at different fabric samples and talking to suppliers on the phone. We have a lot of swatches lying around on the desks and sometimes it’s hard to see the wood underneath. The windows give us a decent view of the area but we are usually too busy to look out much. Dealing with fabrics means you always have little bits of thread on your clothes. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us making sure the orders are recorded correctly. Sometimes the lift takes forever to come up so we have to plan our trips down to the ground floor carefully. It's a bit of a professional environment here but we keep it relaxed among ourselves. We don't go in for fancy decor or anything like that because it’s a place of work first. The building can get quite crowded during peak hours with everyone coming and going from the different offices. We just try to get our tasks done and get the samples sent out to whoever needs them. It’s a steady rhythm that we’ve gotten used to over the years at Supreme Fabrics. The commute can be long but we make sure the work gets done before we leave.
