S.S. Fire Engineers

We have set up shop on the ground floor of building 80, right near Chara Mandir in the Zakhira area. Being on the ground floor is really helpful because we are constantly moving heavy fire extinguishers and equipment in and out. If we were on a higher floor, our backs would have given out years ago. The area around Zakhira is pretty industrial and busy, which suits us just fine. Inside, the place is packed with red canisters, hoses, and all sorts of fire safety gear. It is not a showroom; it is a working shop. There is usually a bit of a smell of chemicals or paint, and there is always some soot somewhere because of the nature of the work. We are just regular people who know a lot about fire safety. We do not use fancy jargon when we talk to people. We just tell them what they need and how it works. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, and other times we are all out on a job site, leaving the office a bit quiet. We drink our tea, talk about the weather, and get on with the task of checking valves and refilling tanks. It is dusty and sometimes a bit loud with the traffic outside, but it is our space. We do not try to be anything we are not. We are just here to do a solid job and make sure things are safe.
