Skeleton Dance Crew

Our spot is down in the basement at Kirti Nagar, specifically Double Story, Ramesh Nagar B21/1. You have to head downstairs to find the studio. It’s a big open space with mirrors on one side. The floor is a bit uneven in places, but it works fine for what we do. We spend a lot of time here with the music turned up high. It’s a basement, so we don't get much natural light, but the fluorescent tubes keep it bright enough. Kirti Nagar is mostly known for furniture, but we’re here doing something different. We have a bunch of bags and water bottles usually piled up in the corner during practice. It gets really sweaty and hot when everyone is moving at once. We have an old sound system that we’ve had to fix a couple of times. The mirrors always have smudges on them from people leaning against them during breaks. We aren't a fancy academy with a front desk or anything. It’s just a place where we get together and work on our routines. Sometimes we stay until very late at night when the streets outside are finally quiet. There’s a specific smell to the place, like old sneakers and floor wax. We don’t have a big staff, just the crew members who show up and put in the work. It’s our second home, even if it’s just a basement in Ramesh Nagar.
