We’ve been here at B-401 in the DDA Flats for a while now. Most people around Bindapur know the building, it's right in Pocket-3. We handle the chit fund stuff for the locals. It isn't a fancy office with big glass doors or anything like that. Just a regular room where we keep our registers and talk to members when they drop by for their monthly payments. Uttam Nagar is a busy area, so there is always noise from the street outside, but we just get the work done regardless. A few of us sit here during the day. We mostly see the same faces every month, which is nice. It’s practical work and doesn't need much. We don't spend any money on big signs or advertising because everyone in the flats already knows where we are located. If you live in this block, you probably walk past our door every single day on your way to the market. We keep things simple. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise and the desk stays a bit cluttered with papers and files, but that’s just how a real office looks. We manage the subscriptions and the auctions right here in this room. It’s a local operation through and through. Nothing more to it really. People come in, pay their bit, we write it down, and that’s the day finished. It’s been this way for a bit. We like the neighborhood. Bindapur is a decent place to be based for this kind of thing.
