Saraswati Optical & Contact Lens Clinic

Saraswati Optical & Contact Lens Clinic is situated at Rz-A-100 in the Nihal Vihar area. We are right in the Main Market, so there is always something going on outside our window. The shop is filled with rows of frames and different types of lenses. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when a few people come in at once, but we manage. We spend our time helping people pick out glasses that don't slide off their nose or checking if their contact lenses are fitting right. The market is loud, especially in the evenings when everyone is out buying groceries. We have a small area in the back for testing eyes, and it’s usually the darkest part of the shop. We don’t use any complicated systems; we just write things down and keep our stock organized on the shelves. Sometimes someone comes in just to get their frames tightened because they accidentally sat on them. It’s a regular neighborhood optical shop. The floor gets dirty from the street traffic, so we are always sweeping. We’ve seen the market change over the years, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. People from all over Nihal Vihar stop by, some just to say hello while they’re passing through. It’s a busy life being in the middle of a market, but we like the energy and the daily interactions with our neighbors and the other shopkeepers around here.
