Rosy Industries

Our place is at E 75 in the Mayapuri Industrial Are Phase 2. It’s a busy corner of the world, mostly filled with the sound of machinery and the smell of cut metal. We’ve been here at Rosy Industries for a long time, and the building itself shows it. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the actual work to worry about that. Inside, there's a lot of stuff piled up, mostly materials we use every day and some old machines that we keep for spare parts. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is. My father used to say that a clean floor means nobody is working, so I guess we’re working pretty hard. The workers arrive around nine and the noise starts immediately. Phase 2 is always humming with activity, and sometimes it gets so loud you have to shout to be heard. We take our breaks together, usually just sitting on whatever crates are empty at the time. It’s a tough environment, especially when the Delhi heat kicks in during May and June. We drink a lot of water and just keep the fans going. We don’t have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to finish the day’s tasks and go home to our families. It’s just a small industrial unit doing its thing in the heart of Mayapuri.
