Rocking Toys

Our place, Rocking Toys, is located at D-143 in Kunwar Singh Nagar, which is in the Nangloi area. It is a bit of a crowded neighborhood, but it is where we have always been. If you walk into our shop, you will see toys in various stages of being made. There are piles of plastic wheels, colorful bodies for little cars, and boxes ready for shipping. It is quite a sight. We aren't a massive factory. It is more of a local operation where a few of us put everything together. We spend a lot of time making sure the toys are put together right so they don't fall apart when a kid plays with them. It is a lot of repetitive work, but we don't mind it much. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, though it gets hectic when we have a big order to finish. We don't have a marketing department or a fancy office. Most of our business comes from people who know us or other shopkeepers in the city. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait a bit, which is just part of living and working here. We use that time to sit outside and chat with the neighbors. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to make decent toys that kids will enjoy. It is a simple business and we like keeping it that way without too much fuss or complicated rules. We keep working until the boxes are full.
