R.K. Book Depot

R.K. Book Depot is over in Paschim Vihar, right at Shop 21 in the DDA Market. If you know the GH9 area, we are right by Sunder Vihar Gate No: 7. The shop is usually full of books and stationery piled up. It’s been here for years, and the neighbors know us pretty well. There’s always a bit of dust because of the open door, but that’s just how it is with books. We spend most of our time organizing the shelves or helping students find specific notebooks. The market gets quite crowded in the evenings when parents bring their kids after school. We try to keep things tidy, but it's hard when new stock arrives and the boxes sit in the middle of the floor for a bit. It’s a small shop, so you have to squeeze past people sometimes. The light inside is a bit yellow, which gives it an old feel. Delhi summers are tough here since we don't have a big cooling system, just a couple of fans. We know the 110063 area like the back of our hands. Often, people stop by just to chat or ask for directions to the gate. We don't have fancy displays. Just stacks of things people need. It’s a simple life running a book stall. You see the same faces every week. It feels like part of the neighborhood fabric now.
