Our shop is located in the Mayapuri Industrial Area, right in Phase I at Wh-44. If you have ever been to Mayapuri, you know it is always loud and everything is constantly moving. There are machines running in almost every building and trucks always trying to squeeze through the narrow gaps in the road. We have been here for a good while now at Rapid Art Press, surrounded by other industrial workshops. The air usually smells like ink and a bit of engine oil from the street. We run the printing presses all day long, mostly doing the kind of standard print jobs that local businesses need to get by. It is a bit of a grit-and-grind kind of place to work. We do not have a fancy waiting room for people to sit in; usually, customers just walk right into the main work area where all the noise is. We spend most of our hours adjusting the machines or stacking up heavy piles of paper. Phase I is a tough place to work because of the heat and the constant hum of the machinery, but it is home for us. We deal with all sorts of paper stocks and different ink colors every day. Sometimes the power goes out, which is frustrating, but we just wait it out and get back to the job. It is not the cleanest work, and your hands usually have ink on them by the end of the day.
