R K Battery House

R K Battery House is over here at number 334 in Paschim Vihar. It’s basically a room full of batteries and tools. We spend a lot of time lifting heavy stuff and checking connections. Batteries are heavy, so it keeps us fit I guess. We deal with all kinds, for cars and those big ones for houses when the power goes out. It gets pretty busy in the summer months when everyone is worried about their backup power. The floor is usually covered in some grease or boxes. We don't spend much time cleaning up for looks, we just want to make sure the stuff works. It’s a local shop. Most people around here know us if they need a charge or a replacement. Sometimes we have to go out to people's places if their car won't start. It’s hard work, and your hands are always dirty by the end of the day. My brother and I run the place mostly. We've been here for a few years now. Paschim Vihar is a decent place to work, even if the parking around the shop is a nightmare. We keep a stock of the common brands. If we don't have something, we try to get it the next day. It’s a straightforward business. We try to stay open late because people often have battery trouble after they get home from work. There is always some tea boiling on the small stove in the corner.
