Popli Nursing Home

You can find Popli Nursing Home over at B 1/512 in Janak Puri. It’s nestled right in the middle of a residential block, so it feels more like a house than a cold institution. We have neighbors on both sides, and we try to keep the noise down out of respect for them. The entrance has a small gate and a few plants that we try to keep alive, though the heat makes it hard. Inside, the rooms are cozy, and we have tried to make them feel less like hospital wards. We have been in this part of Janak Puri for years, and we have seen the families around us grow up. The staff here is small, mostly just a few nurses and the doctors who have been with us since the beginning. We don't have a big reception area with a shiny floor. It’s more of a desk in the hallway where we keep the patient files in alphabetical order. On quiet afternoons, you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood—kids playing or someone calling out for a delivery. We don't use any corporate slogans or have a marketing department. We just do our jobs and try to make sure everyone who stays with us is comfortable. The curtains in the rooms are a bit faded from the sun, but they get washed every week. It is a simple, honest place to get better, right here in the heart of the community where we live too and know the streets.
