Over at Nitin Mechanical Works (P) Ltd., we spend most of our time getting our hands dirty. We are tucked away in Gali-3, over in the Hari Nagar part of Rampura. The address is E-2 if you are trying to find the gate. It is a bit of a tight squeeze in the lane sometimes, especially when there are deliveries coming in or out. We have been working with machines and mechanical parts for a long time now. It’s loud in the workshop and there is usually the smell of oil and metal in the air. That is just how we like it. We have a small crew of people who have been with us for years. They know the machines inside and out. We don't spend much time in the office because there is always something that needs fixing or making out on the floor. It’s a practical kind of life. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just rely on the work we do to keep things moving. Sometimes the power goes out in the area and we have to wait it out, chatting over tea while we wait for the lights to come back on. It's a local business, run by local people. We aren't a big corporation with fancy titles. We are just workers who know how to handle mechanical problems and keep the shop running in Hari Nagar.
