New Gold

We are located over at D 87 in Sudarshan Park. If you know where Tyagi Dharamshala is, we are right near that. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, except for when there’s a function at the dharamshala. Our shop, New Gold, isn't very large, but we have been part of this community for quite a bit. People stop by to look at things or just to say hello. We deal with jewelry and gold items, mostly traditional stuff that families like around here. There’s a small counter where we sit and talk to customers. It’s mostly just a few of us working here. The display cases aren't the newest, but they show the pieces well enough. We keep things simple. Sometimes neighbors come in to get something repaired or polished. It’s a neighborhood shop, so we know most of the faces that walk through the door. The lighting inside is a bit bright because you need to see the details, but it makes the place feel warm. We don't do big TV ads or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people to us. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but most local folks know the shortcut past the park. We try to keep regular hours, though sometimes we close early if it’s a slow Tuesday. It’s just a basic shop run by regular people who live nearby.
