National Maternity Home & Clinic

National Maternity Home & Clinic is tucked away in Janta Market, over in the C2C Pocket 12 area of Delhi. Specifically, we are at quarter number 129 on the main road. It’s a very busy part of the market, so there’s always noise from the street. We’ve been here helping the families in this part of Delhi for a long time. It’s a maternity home, so we see a lot of mothers and new babies. The space is a bit tight because it’s an older building in a crowded market, but we’ve made the most of it. You won't find any corporate polish here. It’s just a plain clinic where we do our jobs. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the chairs in the waiting area have seen better days. But the families keep coming back because we are right here in the neighborhood. We don’t have a fancy receptionist with a script. We just talk to people like they are our neighbors, because usually they are. Working in Janta Market means dealing with the chaos of the shops and the traffic every day. We just keep the doors open and help the women who come in. It’s a simple setup, focusing on the basics of what we do. We don't have a big budget for advertising, so we just do our work and let the local people talk. We’ve seen many kids grow up in this neighborhood after being born here in these very rooms.
