Our firm, O.P.Tulsyan & Co., has been operating from this New Delhi address for a while. Being chartered accountants means our desks are usually buried under folders and tax forms. It’s the kind of place where the tea kettle is always on because we need it to get through the long afternoons of auditing. People from the Nangloi area usually stop by when they’re stuck with their accounts or need some help with GST filings. We aren't a big, fancy firm with a lobby; it’s just a straightforward office where we handle the financial nitty-gritty. Sometimes it feels like we spend half our lives looking at computer screens, but that’s the nature of the work.
