Our office is tucked away on the first floor over in Tilak Nagar, right at 12/67B. If you know West Delhi, you know how busy this area gets. It’s always noisy outside with the rickshaws and people heading to the market, but inside we’re usually just focused on the paperwork that comes with building houses. There’s a small staircase leading up to our space, and if you’re tall, you might have to watch your head a bit. We’ve been around for quite some years, and the walls are covered with different site plans and blueprints that have seen better days. The desks are a bit crowded together because we keep adding more files and folders every month. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, you just walk in and one of us will look up from a drawing to see what you need. Someone is always brewing coffee in the back, and the smell usually fills the whole floor by mid-morning. It’s a bit of a maze with all the cabinets and samples of tiles or bricks lying around the edges of the room. We prefer it this way because everything we need is within reach. Dealing with construction in a city like Delhi means there’s always a lot to keep track of, from local permits to finding reliable labor. We just keep our heads down and try to stay organized in the middle of all the city's chaos.
