Maa Kali Clinic

Maa Kali Clinic is at D60 in Gali No 10, over in the Harfool Vihar area of Najafgarh. This part of the neighborhood is mostly where people live, so it doesn't have the same crazy feeling as the main market roads. Gali No 10 is one of those streets where everyone knows each other’s business. The clinic is on the ground floor, so people can just walk right in from the street without any trouble. We usually keep the door open a little bit to get some air, even though the dust from the street can be a bit of a pain to deal with. The waiting area is just a small room with some plastic chairs and a table where we keep some old newspapers and the ledger. It’s a very local spot. You can often hear children playing out in the gali or the sound of someone’s radio through the walls while you’re sitting inside. We don't have any of that high-tech equipment sitting out in the front, just the basic stuff we need for a normal day. Most of the people who come by are living in the houses right around us in Harfool Vihar. We start early in the morning when the sun is coming up and stay until it gets dark. It is a simple way to run a place, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of this street over the years.
