Laxmi Studio

It's been quite a few years since we first opened up Laxmi Studio here in Paschim Vihar. To be honest, it didn't look like much at the start. Just a small room with one camera and a backdrop that kept falling down every time someone walked past. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. People come in for passport photos mostly, or sometimes families want a nice portrait done for a wedding invitation. We try to keep things simple. If you walk past the main market area, you will find us tucked away. The lighting in the back room can be a bit finicky sometimes, so we spend a lot of time adjusting the lamps. It is just me and another guy helping out most days. We do a lot of printing too. People bring in their old photos that are starting to fade, and we see what we can do to make them look okay again. It takes time. Sometimes the printer acts up right when we are busy, which is frustrating, but that is how it goes. We don't have fancy coffee machines or a big waiting lounge. There are just a couple of plastic chairs for people to sit on while they wait for their prints to dry. We know most of the regulars by name now. It feels like a part of the community here. Just a basic shop doing what we know how to do. I hope we stay here for a while.
