Lamba Diaries

Our place is at G-1/262 on Dal Mill Road in Uttam Nagar. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, but we’ve been here at Lamba Diaries for years. Dal Mill Road is always busy with local traffic and small shops selling all sorts of things. We spend our days surrounded by paper, leatherette, and binding glue. The shop is often a bit messy because we’re always in the middle of making a new batch of diaries for customers. We don't have a big fancy storefront with neon lights. Most of our customers know where we are and just come straight to the door when they need something. Uttam Nagar is a crowded area, so there’s always noise coming from the street and the neighboring buildings. We’ve gotten used to it over time. Inside, we have our machines and stacks of covers waiting to be finished. It’s just a small team of us working here. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most people hear about us through word of mouth in the neighborhood. Some days the delivery truck can't get all the way to the door because the road is narrow, so we have to carry the boxes ourselves. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy. We like the feeling of finishing a batch and seeing them all lined up on the shelf. It’s an honest way to make a living and we plan to stay here for a while.
