Kumagai - Skanska - Hcc - Itochu Group (Delhi Metro Project)

We are located at C-107/3 in Ganesh Nagar, New Delhi. This office is the hub for a lot of the work we do on the Delhi Metro Project. It’s a big group with names like Kumagai, Skanska, HCC, and Itochu, but here on the ground, it’s just us working through the logistics of one of the biggest infrastructure jobs in the city. The office is usually full of maps and schedules. Working on the metro is a huge task because you are digging under a city that never stops moving. We have to deal with old water pipes and power lines that nobody knew were there. It’s a lot of late nights and early mornings. Ganesh Nagar is a busy spot and we are right in the thick of it. We aren't here to do anything except get the tracks laid and the stations built. It’s messy work and the Delhi dust gets everywhere. We have people from all different backgrounds working together here. Sometimes there are disagreements about how to move forward, but we eventually figure it out. We don’t really do the fancy corporate talk. We’re too busy making sure the tunnel boring machines are working right and that the safety checks are done. It is a long-term project and we are just taking it day by day until the next section of the line is finally finished.
