Our office is on the second floor of the Local Shopping Centre at Plot No. 8-9 in Kirti Nagar. We are right in the middle of the Furniture Block, so there are always sofas and beds being moved around on the street below us. It’s a busy area, especially with the Bharat Petroleum pump right across from us. Finding a parking spot near here is almost impossible most days, so we usually tell people to come by rickshaw. Being on the second floor means we have to haul everything up the stairs, which keeps us in shape I suppose. The space inside is mostly filled with samples and paperwork scattered across the desks. It’s not a very quiet place because of all the shouting and horn-honking from the market, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We deal with imports and exports, so there’s always someone checking a tracking number or talking to a driver. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to move everything out of the way to get it done. We keep some tea and a kettle in the corner for when the afternoons get long. It’s a practical workspace for a small team like ours. We don't put on any acts here; it’s just us working through the piles of orders. Kirti Nagar is a tough place to work sometimes, but it’s where all the action is for our trade.
