Our place is over at Plot N. Wz-46 in Khampur, which is part of West Patel Nagar. It’s a bit of a mouthful of a name, but we just call it the shop. We work with diagnostic tools for cars, the kind of stuff you need to figure out why a dashboard light is on. The neighborhood is typical for West Patel Nagar, lots of narrow lanes and small businesses tucked away. Our building is nothing special to look at, but it’s where we do all our testing and packing. We have stacks of scanners and cables piled up on the shelves. It’s often a bit chaotic during the middle of the day when everyone is trying to get things out for delivery. There’s a small desk near the door where we keep the ledger and the phone. We don’t really have a big marketing team or anything like that; we just rely on the fact that we’ve been here long enough for people to know where to find us. Usually, there’s a pot of tea going in the back room. The staff here knows a lot about cars, even though we are mostly dealing with the electronic side of things. It’s a busy, cramped, and honest way to make a living in this part of Delhi. We just try to keep up with the new car models and the software they use. Sometimes it gets frustrating when the internet goes slow, but we manage to get the updates done.
